THE COMMUNITY
Body Language Pilates, NY was established in 2017 to create a space for movement for all to “come as you are and leave feeling like your best self.“ With that goal in mind, the studio was designed to create a community of movement, mindfulness, fitness and fun.

The studio founder, Lori, brings her enthusiasm for pilates to every class and every client interaction. As a lifetime fitness enthusiast, Lori promotes Pilates as a method of achieving aesthetic, functional and overall wellbeing. Following a severe back injury, Lori found Pilates to be a perfect method of building the core strength necessary to return her active lifestyle. This personal success story motivated Lori to enroll in the renowned Kane School of Core Integration in New York City, where she received certification in both mat and apparatus Pilates. With a firm foundation in anatomy and proper postural alignment, along with a master’s degree in psychology from NYU, Lori’s goal is to inspire movement, through the mind-body connection that Pilates is based upon, and have some fun in the process!

I love Body Language Pilates! I look forward to every workout there because although you get an amazing overall body workout, you have fun!  Lori has created a space that is very welcoming for everyone.  She has curated a daily playlist for the studio and it keeps you moving.  Lori is hands on and makes sure your form is aligned and makes you feel good about your progress. You can't get this attention at the bigger studios.

I just realized I had a one year anniversary with Pilates! Â I've been going consistently and I've never felt better! Â I have abs I've never had before which is crazy because I was an athlete.
